Currently working on some Phoenix stuff - a light relief after a horrendous couple of weeks which ought to see the light of day. While doing that, I'm currently firing my CD collection into iTunes and turned up a few belting tracks I hadn't heard for a while.
The MP3 collection for myself and my better half currently stands at 22Gb, 4,000 tracks. And I haven't even got halfway through my CDs yet. And then we are onto the tapes. So you could say music is important to us.
Most of it is not suitable for use at a Phoenix game. Much as I adore Ministrys N.W.O, I don't really think that its aural assault, somewhat akin to having your skull repeated jackhammered, is suitable for a family sport. It is, however, perfect for blasting down a motorway, car windows down, at 70mph. Ish.
I really do think that Wigwam (click Media | Video | Watch the Video) is a perfect song to have in the run up to the start of a game. Lights down, swirling, that sort of thing. Of course, the fact that the singer is Alison Clarkson - also known as Betty Boo - has a certain frisson for blokes of a particular age. Ahem.
