Shiny

Well, we have a new look website (clicky the link above). It should have been done quicker, but due to lots of stuff, mainly involving me, it wasn't. So we ended up pulling a bit of a late 'un on Thursday and then Carl did a sterling job of moving things over. And Richard did a lot of content updating. I... well, I'm not sure what I did. I'd like to say "look and feel", but then Abigail and Helen at Comtec did a lot of that, especially in translating my rather vague ideas into something concrete.

I made the tea. Yeah, that's it.

Anyway, we're up and running. The odd thing is, the site is only 70% or so complete. Because we don't have things like action photos, rink photos and so on, we can't actually do many of the things we wanted just yet. There is a whole ton of stuff that I'd like to do that I don't think any club has done yet. Stuff like Richard video on the front page. I've got some of the ideas in my head which might seem like hard work, but are quite simple in practice (hopefully!). Twas ever thus, sticking video on the site is easy, its getting that left hand menu to work properly that takes time.

Basically the new site is currently a bucket, customised so we can pour ideas into it.

In other news - THF5 this weekend. Should be interesting...
