The controversial 'no-goal' this past Sunday

Following all the hoo-hah about the Nottingham 'goal' that referee Boniface washed out, the press releases from the Panthers and the posting of the footage on the Phoenix site that shows what happened, there is one party involved in all of this that has so far kept quiet but can no longer hold their peace.

In a statement issued this afternoon, the match puck has publicly declared "I did not have relations with that goal."

In a separate interview, netminder Jason Wolfe's catcher mitt is quoted as saying "I know where the line is drawn, and I do my best not to let my good friend cross it."

With the US Midterm elections just around the corner, you know it makes sense:

Vote Puck/Catcher '06. A winning combination.
