You know what I most like about doing the Phoenix site? It is that - generally - there isn't a lot of nit-picking going on. Either something works, is a good idea, etc, or it doesn't and people say simply "OK, no problem."
In my real job, I've been dealing with a customer who is worrying about the precise layout of the screen, and completely ignoring the fact that there still isn't any text on it. I admit that it does have to be "just so", but it is frustrating to be worrying about a single line, when I'm waiting for other bits and pieces.
Anyway, the thing about coming up with ideas for the Phoenix is that you tend to branch out into all sorts of oddness. For example, Richard has titled this blog "Landers and The Rev" which we both agreed was a spectacularly good name for an 80s cop show. Probably written by Glen A. Larson.
And on that note, my mind has just gone into some sort of fizz, until I've ended up with a loose collection of scenes spoofing the 80s cop show thing. I've imagined standing in the Phoenix office with those US style phone rings in the background and typewriters, with Neil Morris as "Chief" chewing us out for some mistake - "I want your gun, your badge, and your season ticket."
Staging a "car chase" down the corridors of the Arena. Of course, we couldn't drive a car down there, but the idea of pedalling trikes and kicking cardboard boxes over appeals.
Car chase? Zamboni Chase!
Of course, it would all have to end with "You guys!" and a freeze frame of us mid-guffaw.
