This weekend I'm voluntarily subjecting myself to a whole weekend in Sheffield. No, it's not the Annual Masochists Convention (the only other reason anyone would go to Sheffield) but it's an EIHA Level 2 Coaching course, held at the now legendary Queens Road ice rink. I've never been to Queens Road before but I'm reliably informed that the ice rink isn't on the ground floor of the building (where you'd expect to find a huge frozen surface) but further skyward. I'm also reliably informed by the course organisers that it's lovingly referred to as 'The Snake Pit'.
