A five o'clock face off for Nottingham versus Coventry meant that I arrived at the NIC having eaten a total of two cereal bars and two packets of crisps today, so I was really looking forward to one of the legenday NIC pizzas. Having not been to the NIC all season, I went along tonight knowing that the answer to all my culinary desires was waiting for me behind the food counter on the concourse.
How wrong I was.
A quick scan of the price list above the counter reveals no pizza. It lists a burger, a cheeseburger, a hot dog, but no pizza. Damn.
I'm one of people that is what our beloved Tambo refers to as "a veggie weirdo." I've been veggie for sixteen years now - half my life in fact (go ahead mathematicians, make my day...) Apparently, if you believe everything you read, being a veggie makes you short and it makes you weakened. I'm 6'5" and just shy of 17 stone. Mathematicians, feel free....
Anyway, I spy on the price list the wonderful section entitled "Today's specials, including vegetarian option." On the little list there is "baguettes", so I think I'm in luck. One shortish queue ride later, and I'm at the counter.
"What's in the veggie baguette please?" I venture.
"Err.... we don't do baguettes at this counter. Try counter 3" comes the reply. For the record, counter 3 is on the other side of the arena. Hmmm.
"So what's the vegetarian option at this counter then?"
"Err........ we've got Pringles."

I went veggie once. For a week, I think. It was for a girl. I remember dumping her with "For ****'s sake, I'm sick of eating rabbit food" before heading for McDonalds.
Eating lots of meat, thats what give me the lithe, supple, muscular figure I have today.
