Why do I do it? Why do I sit and watch these alleged lists of comedy shows when I know that the combination of public stupidity and producer convenience (they are pre-rigged, you know) will mean I end up throwing things at the telly in disgust.

Lou and Andy are decent comic creations, but give me one good reason why "The Swimming Pool" is better than "The Dead Parrot Sketch". Lou and Andy is a one-note joke, it is the equivalent of David Brents stupid dance and mark my words, you'll be sick of "Want that one" in a year as well.

The Dead Parrot Sketch is magnificent. And I recommend you catch The Two Ronnies Sketchbook on Fridays at 9pm for a masterclass in comic writing. Ronnie Barker is a genius, an absolute genius with a gift for wordplay that continually amazes me.

Anyone who thinks Little Britain is fit even to touch the hem of the Pythons, or Barker, will be stabbed in the eyes. With Fork Handles.
