Another step closer

The suspense is killing me.

I appear to be trapped in a sort of Groundhog Day, where all the discussion is the same subjects, hovering around the fact that the EIHL are the Great Big Satan of British Hockey, because it dared not to accept Fife, Dundee and Guildford into its league. I could sit there and argue the case, about how leagues should be stable, and that 13 clubs into 10 just simply don't go, but it boils down to the same two facts - that from the perspective of many of these people, it is acceptable for the Phoenix to die in order that the Flyers/Stars/Flames may live, and secondly that their hatred is so deep that nothing short of nuclear weaponry would get them to change their point of view. I don't think I've been quite so angry for a long time.

Positivity - the PR wasn't what many thought (or hoped) it would be, but another crucial step. I'd guessed the Phoenix were hooking up with Planet Ice and to be honest, they are the most experienced company running rinks in this country. (Basingstoke, MK, Peterborough - sure they have another couple... Coventry?) Anyway, the Phoenix can't run their own rink, so go to the people who can. Why have a dog and bark yourself? The way I see it, we have a planned rink, a planned team, people to run it with a proven track record... just need the bit of land. It is so frustratingly close now.

In other news, go out and buy Resident Evil 4. It is lovely, amzing, wonderful, scary and totally brilliant. And if you don't have a Gamecube, go and buy one of those, then buy Resi 4. It would be rude not to.

And Rev commented about me scaring people. Did it again today. Well, sort of. Was being driven back through Wilmslow, lovely day, windows down and we stopped at a set of traffic lights, surrounded by other traffic. I said to the guy driving me "You know everyones window is down, we're in the centre of town, loads of people around?"

"Ye-es."

"Is it bad to have a totally overwhelming urge to lean out of the window and shout at the top of your voice 'YOU'RE ALL WHORES!'?
