To all who read this column, I hope that all the friends and family you have in London are alive and well, and that you're feeling the relief of knowing that they're safe. I know I spent most of today chewing on my nails, not getting any work done, waiting on confirmation that my friends from the Capital are all okay. Luckily I got that confirmation early this evening when I made contact with the last one I was waiting to hear from, but there are people up and down the country who weren't as lucky as I was.
Say a prayer for those who were lost today, and spare a thought for the friends and families they left behind.
